Rev. Andrea Young

Meet the Minister

Andrea Young is a wife, mother, ordained minister, servant-leader, attorney, and life-long learner. Her journey began in 2021 when she founded Center of Change, Inc., a ministry umbrella for spiritual development, leadership, and educational workshops. Shortly after incorporating CoC, she felt the urgency to create a social media platform to empower change and impact the Kingdom of God through biblical teaching and educational workshops. Thus, "A Moment to Center" was birthed, a weekly FB Live event, along with "Kingdom Business," quarterly estate planning workshops grounded in biblical principles.

Andrea was granted a license to preach the gospel under the leadership of her Pastor, Bishop Walter Scott Thomas, Sr. As an ordained associate minister at the New Psalmist Baptist Church in Baltimore, Maryland, she has served in various leadership roles in ministry, fulfilling roles as a preacher, workshop presenter, small group facilitator, and Women’s Day speaker.

A proud two-time graduate of Howard University, Andrea earned a Bachelor of Science in Journalism and a Master of Divinity in Religious Studies. She also holds a certificate in Pastoral Counseling from Liberty University and is a graduate of the University of Baltimore, School of Law, where she earned her Juris Doctor. Full-time, Andrea serves as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Maryland and as an Adjunct Professor at Stevenson University, teaching courses in Religious Studies and Contract Law.

She is the proud wife to Reverend Julius Young, and together they have two beautiful daughters.

Individuals can connect with Andrea on her FB Group page, “A Moment to Center,” where she invites everyone into the room on Monday mornings for a few moments to center themselves in the Word of God.
